The BURG project was developed in close collaboration with a client who significantly contributed to the idea by designing his own table. From this individual table design, the concept for a reproducible series of furniture emerged, blending craftsmanship with automated processes. The table frames are CNC-milled in Vienna and then carefully finished by hand. The table tops are produced by local metalworkers and glaziers. A key focus is the involvement of the clients as designers. They can playfully configure their table according to their own preferences by choosing dimensions, a range of colors, textures, and materials.
The BURG table, consisting of only four components, is delivered in a compact package and can be easily assembled by the customer. The three table legs are connected using a threaded rod and an aluminum star grip screw. An industrial component, whose technical properties also serve as a central ornament, completes the design.
